American Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai--2008 business report

American Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai--2008 business report released a survey report Nov 2008 that 70% American businesses in China are reported profitable.

According to the survey:

70% of respondents achieved profitable operations in 2008 and 77% report increased profits. A majority of companies reported an increase in market share from 2007.
More than 70% of respondents reported an increase in overall China business activities, two-thirds increased production capacity and more than half increased research and development operations.
78% of companies surveyed had an increase in forecasted revenues for 2008 when compared to 2007 and a notable 40% had an increase of more than 20%.
